Just been putting together a little number to wear at the NEC next week……. In my dreams *LOL*
It’s not the corset shape that is the focus here but rather the fabric I have created it from.
It is on a base of Evolon to give it a reasonably soft feel whereas these wearable art pieces, same technique, use Pelmet Vilene.
I shall be demonstrating this technique on stand P24 at the NEC next week, Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th.
When I downloaded these photographs I found this one lurking on the camera card. We went to Bluewater on Christmas Eve to do some Christmas shopping – yes, I was way behind this year – and I saw these in the window.
Boots to me are like red shoes to Dale. :)
I couldn’t justify buying them though as I was supposed to be present buying for other people so I took a photo and had every intention of going back after the holiday to get them. But as it turns out I didn’t have to. There they were, the black ones, all wrapped up nicely waiting for me on Christmas morning – see, he does listen to what I say sometimes. And they are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn.

nice ones but if I wore boots here my feet would disappear with the heat!
How lovely that you got your boots Gina. The corsets are super - you'd knock 'em dead at the NEC! Have a great time there.
You mean some folks WEAR corsets? Theyre not to hang on a wall then...how odd.....
Love that etruscan turquoise! what did you use and can we buy it next wknd?!
What a find you have there........dont lose that chap!
Your special man sounds as good as mine :-) I shall see you on Thursday!!! Yay!
I like boots too, but I think however nice the corset is, it wouldn't be easy to wear.
Sounds as though you are fortunate to have a DH also. I love boots too Lynda so glad you got yours. And I love the corsets.
Did you rust them or paint?
If you go to the NEC Lynda's stand is an absolute MUST. I was lucky enough to get on her pocket book class on Thursday and as per usual it was great. Lynda is a brilliant tutor and her instructions are absolutely excellent. Thankyou Lynda.
Love the corset AND the boots!
Shame I could not make it up to see your fantastic stand this year. Photos look great. A friend emailed me to say from a distance your bodices look like my coffee grid bodice made back in Jan 2010 (link here: http://annanowicki2.blogspot.com/2010/01/11-newspapercoffee-bodice.html) I felt proud of the comparison to your stunning bodices!!
