And the winner is.....Or I should say, and the winners are….
as the rusty ‘doodle book’ went up for grabs too.44 comments and 12 emails went into the ‘hat’.
First one drawn out was Gina Ferrari and the second one Glenys Coombridge.
We all know Gina, but Glenys from New Zealand hasn’t got a blog yet as she is still finding her way around blogland. She is also still on dial-up which must make life difficult for her – can’t imagine what it would be like now without broadband. :)
So Gina, as your name was first out, if you would like to tell me which one you prefer then I will send the other one to Glenys.

Have been finishing off these mini-hangings this week. They are the usual background of quilted cotton duck with acrylic paints and some other additions to a couple of them.

They each measure 8" x 11". Having a bit of trouble working to this small scale - but I shall keep practising! The first two are so-so, but I was reasonably pleased with number three.
The photos have been taken at a funny angle, makes them look wobbly and you can't see the detail - there is a lot of texture on the bottom two.

I bought an A4 Thermofax machine a few weeks ago from Germany.
Have wanted one for almost a couple of years now. I had so many ideas – and guess what? Now I’ve got one I can’t think of a single thing to do with it!
I’m sure I’ll come up with something pretty soon though – will keep you posted.
Next on my ‘must have – can’t live without it’ list is a super-duper camera with a macro zoom lens but the main breadwinner has informed me that the soffits and guttering need replacing before much longer. Hmmm!

P.S. Registration is open for the 'Textured Surfaces' workshop at Fibre in-Form, but its filling up fast so hurry over there if you want to take part this time around.

The mini hangings are great. The sheen you have achieved on the surface gives the appearance of very soft fine leather.

I have been so out of touch with all my favourite blogs whilst studying that it's an absolute pleasure to catch up with yours and see what you've been doing. Such gorgeous work, and so inspiring, it's wonderful looking through it all. That Thermofax machine is a bit intriguing too... ;-)

Your three mini-hanging are beautiful. Great texture and lots of originality. Two and three have my preference.

How exciting! Thank you Lynda - although I love the pink/blue cover I think I would like to opt for the rusty one... it's more "Purple Missus"! Love the surface of those hangings.

So I've been googling thermofax as I'd never heard of them and am assuming you bought it to do silk screen? I would be curious to see how a thermofax photocopy compares with one from a normal photocopier too. Or maybe you're planning tattoos...

I am very curious what you think about the thermofax. The screens are lovely to use and give a really sharp image.

I absolutely love your 'mini' hangings, love the colours especially and the last one has to be my very fav. Dying to know what you will do with the thermofax as screen printing is now on my list of 'to learn'.
