Glimpsings

I've been so busy just lately, so I thought that this weekend I would just do stuff that I felt like doing and these are some close ups of what I have been working on. Still a way to go with them so will show complete when I have finished.
You can see more detail if you click on each picture.

Can you spot the bogus one? Colour was awful so I adjusted it in Photoshop. Only wish I could achieve these colours for real.

Fibre&Stitch was launched last week and we have been bowled over by the response this new zine has received. It has been absolutely amazing and we are all very grateful to our subscribers for so obviously appreciating the hard work we, on the Fibre&Stitch team, have all put in to making this zine a success.
There is now a Yahoo Group especially dedicated to subscribers which is really busy and very exciting. A new challenge has been issued connected with the article written by Carol McFee in which the winner will receive a piece of work from Carol as a prize. You have to subscribe though to be part of the group so if you don't want to miss out it would be a good idea to get along to the Fibre&Stitch website and press the right buttons!

Clyde Olliver

I have admired his work since I saw his exhibition at Ally Pally some time ago. Ominimo put a posting on her blog about a workshop of Clydes that she recently attended. The pieces she made are fabulous. She also put a link to Clydes new blog, go take a look, you will love his work.

Almost forgot, if you want to buy scrim, hand-dyed or undyed you can buy it here:

I like these a lot, Lynda. Especially the top two. And would you believe I haven't even looked a F&S yet? I was on holiday in Ireland when it came out, and only downloaded it last night when I got home. It's on my list of treats for today, though, to compensate for tons of laundry and getting the kids sort to go back to school Wednesday...

These all look awesome Lynda but that third one is my favorite - is that the one that you adjusted?

As usual I love all your stuff! Beautiful textures and colours and I am assuming number 4 is the bogus one (and a pretty impressive one at that!) Must be nice to finally have a bit of time to play - you sure have been busy for the last several months!! Cheers

Wow Lynda, I love all of these. Texture, lace, colors, all of it, wonderful. I sure wish I could find some beautiful laces like these and the ones I've seen Carol use.
