A background of calico with scrim over the top was couched with different weight yarns using a zig zag machine stitch.
Xpandaprint was dabbed on in places, heated to expand then FME was worked randomly on top.
The whole piece was then covered in a coat of white emulsion and when dry black fountain pen ink was painted on top.
Treasure Pewter was then rubbed over the raised areas.
Close up
Something different?
1 I did not use bleach over the ink
2 I used Treasure Pewter instead of Treasure Gold
3 I actually like the piece so far
Yes, definitely something different.

You are amazing - how do you come up with all of these wonderful ideas. The different paints and methods you use - I love reading about it!!! This is another wonderful piece, and of course you should like it!
I am continually awed by the things you create!
Oooh very lovely. Is it flexible/bendable yet or stiff?
oh I really really like this piece. I love that metallic texture, very organic. Love this.
I love this piece, you've got some lovelly texture on it. BTW is the Treasure Gold you use a paint or wax and where do you buy it.
