Better late than never!

The Gathering!!!

Fri 24th and Sat 25th May
Be afraid - be very afraid!!!
This may sound like it's the title of the latest horror film, but it's actually Kev's name for a collection of textile artists!

We've been holding regular 'In Residence' sessions with
people like Sharon Osborne, Lynda Monk and Carol Cann,
but we thought we'd like to extend it to a special two day event.
Instead of just one artist working here in the gallery, there will be at least five each day.   The artists will each be involved in their own work so you can see what they're up to, find out how they do it, talk about what inspires them, and generally feel the creative buzz!

So far, the artists involved include:

Yvonne Brown
Carol Cann
Gina Ferrari
Lynda Monk
Marian Murphy
Sharon Osborne
Nodeen Salmon
Susan Stuart
Pauline Verrinder

So, pay us a visit during these two days and be inspired by
a different 'gathering' of artists each day.
There will be refreshments available and hopefully the
weather will allow us to use the garden (difficult to believe at the moment!).

This is not a workshop event, so you don't have to book, just turn up between 10am and 4pm on either (or both) days.

We look forward to seeing you then.

I shall be there tomorrow (Friday) as will Pauline Verrinder because we have an F.E.T. meeting on Saturday. Sharon will be there on both days but I'm not sure about the other artists - all really well worth seeing in action.

Close ups of what I've been working on - no post complete without a picture or two. :)

And a really big thank you to my Drumalis Delinquents.

I'd be there like a shot if I lived nearer - it will be a great weekend.

We feel so out of it up here in the north. Just too far away. Very envious of those who live close enough to attend.
Have good day.
Cheers

Looks great Lynda, will you be at the Festival of Quilts as well?
