After reading about my ‘exploding’ light tent episode, Susan sent me a link on how to make your own light box. So I decided to make a smaller, more manageable one.Complete with drop down front flap with a slit for the camera lens to go through. It's a bit of a 'Heath Robinson' affair - but it does work! (Susan's looks a lot neater than mine.)
Anyway, this is the photo of the moulding mesh piece from last weeks blog:And this is how the photo looks when taken in the light box. Now, I doubt very much if you can see the difference but I can, not much, but a definite improvement. All I need now are some proper daylight bulbs and to learn how to position the lights and I should have no more problems :)
If you want to have a go at making one yourself follow this link here.

Last week I put this photo on the blog... ...saying I didn’t think you would be able to guess what it was, and no, its not Tyvek. I took the photo not long after I had finished but next day, once it had dried out thoroughly it ended up looking like this:Much better.

I finally finished my CG postcard for December and have sent it off to Pat. The photo for this month was even less inspiring than all the other months so I used a bit, or a lot even, of artistic licence with this one.Next year should be good though. Everyone has chosen a picture from their own Calendar and the first is from Debbi, a Shane Pickett creation. Lots of potential here.I was using the sprays from Crafty Notions the other day and used a piece of kitchen towel to mop up and I thought it looked interesting enough to keep as a background for future use. It looked very metallic and rusty, although you can’t really see that in the photo. I then rubbed it over with wax varnish which transformed it totally – just looks like a piece of kitchen towel used to mop up some colour now :(
The Cyber Fyber exhibition photographs are now on the website created by Susan Lenz and the exhibition starts on January 8th – all very exciting.

And just a reminder that the re-run of the Fibre in-Form Textured Surfaces workshop starts again on Friday January 9th. Take a look here if you would like more details.

I love the way that the mystery item turned out - it could only happen to you.

I have to make a light box! It's on my list of things to do but just haven't gotten to it yet. I can tell the difference in the photos. I love the postcard and your mystery item is cool. I have no idea what it is though.
