Ally Pally - Day One

Yesterday was day one for me at Ally Pally and I had THE most amazing time.
Apart from all the goodies I came home with, more about some of those later, I met some really lovely people.
As soon as the doors opened I made a beeline to Dales stand as I know she gets really busy. Not only did I want to say hello, but Dale had brought me a low shank so I can fit the Spiral Stitcher on to my Bernina. She then took me over to meet Maggie Grey. I have seen Maggie (& Dale) around at the shows for a number of years but have never plucked up the courage to speak - silly me, they are two very nice friendly ladies. I was so chuffed too when Maggie said that people were bringing her ATC's which they had made after reading my blog and tutorials.

Now I know it looks like Maggie is praying here, I can only guess at what, or maybe she's thinking 'Oh no, not another photograph!'

I then rushed over to the Jan Beaney and Jean Littlejohn stand. Once again, another stand that gets crowded very quickly. I got them to sign several copies of their books that I had offered to get for different people, Joanna (Serinity is Bliss) amongst them. J&J had met Joanna a few months ago and they asked me to pass on their best wishes to her, which I thought was very nice of them plus they were gracious enough to allow me to take a photograph to post here.
Well, I'm back off to AP again today. I usually go two days, sometimes three. This show is getting bigger and better all the time. I tend to shop at the trade stands on the first day and then have an indepth look at all the exciting exhibitions on the second day.
I also hope to be able to say hello to Clyde Olliver today and Pammy G (as Kevin calls her) on the Art Van Go stand.
