Foiled Again!

This is what I have been working on this weekend amongst other things.
Canvas with scrim, tissue and molding paste. Several layers of acrylic paint then foiled.
This first canvas is postcard size - 6" x 4" - using red foil. When the light hits it from a different direction it looks like its on fire - of course, my camera skills cannot capture this :)
These next two canvases are 16" x 6", a really nice size to work with. Same media as above but this time using a gold foil.

This dinky little canvas is just 4" x 3".
All these canvases would be ideal for displaying pieces of textile work, the smaller ones in particular.

This montage below shows a selection of samples I made some time ago. They have all been foiled.

And why am I experimenting so much with foil at the moment?

Because there is a new website coming very shortly which will be offering Foils and Chunky Canvas and other mixed media products at very low prices.

What a lovely blog you have! I've only just discovered you. I love your 16x6 pieces, what a great size canvas to work with. They look so good already but I can see that they would make good backgrounds too.

I love the idea of the 4 x 3 canvas and your foil samples are just plain gorgeous! My favourite is the one at the bottom left hand.
Thanks for your messages.

Hello Missus Purple, I love your blog and the things you create. I'm looking for a kind of 'artistic family" and people who love to work with all sorts of fabric and other material.

These foil-samples are very beautiful, nicely arranged and inspiring! Thanks for sharing the information about the new website concerning foils and mixed media products.

Greetings from Paris, France
Andrea
