I'm back - and unashamedly advertising

Many thanks to everyone who was concerned about the fact I haven't blogged for a couple of weeks.
I have been pretty busy just lately. My day job is hectic at the moment because of the harvest period and along with the rest of the Fibre&Stitch team I have been kept pretty busy putting the finishing touches to the zine.
Not long to wait now until August 29th. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. And have you seen the new cover? Its just a little taste of what you will find inside.

But the real reason I have been too busy to blog is because I have been turning this pile of scrim....

into this pile of scrim.....
I have been using a lot of scrim lately and as I buy it in large quantities it comes undyed and I then dye it in the colours I need.
So I thought I would dye it in a whole load of colours - 30 to be precise - and offer small lengths for sale on my website.
You'll also find themed packs, scrim-scrap bags, dyed cotton velvet and kits for sale.
I hope to have the complete website up and running by the 29th August to coincide with the articles you will find inside Fibre&Stitch.

This vessel which appears in the first issue of Fibre&Stitch has been made from rust dyed scrim which has been treated in various ways before and after rusting. Some of the scrim was soaked in iron mordant before and after rusting, some soaked in tea before and after and some dipped into potassium permanganate. It measures 40cm high and 38cm in circumference.

If you read the first issue of Fibre&Stitch it will also reveal another secret about this vessel!

And just in case you haven't been paying attention:
