Birthday Postcards

These two postcards have been sent to the June birthday girls on the FAF group, Anna and Helen.

This is the first time I have put a postcard through the post 'naked'. I hope they reach their destination with no mishaps.

The cards are my attempt at a technique perfected by Carol of Textile Tales. Carol is writing an article on this technique in the first issue of Fibre&Stitch, definitely not to be missed.

Unfortunately the camera hasn't caught the sheen on the cards.
This is a close up where you can see the shine on the surface slightly better.

The picture looks great - but the card in person is WONDERFUL!! It arrived safely and I'm very impressed with the colour, texture and the perfect hand stitched detail. Thank you :)

Lovely colours Lynda.

Your cards will arrive safely. I have sent many many cards with no problems.

Those are lovely. When you say you posted them naked I guess that means without an envelope...how did you attach the stamp? ( or pay the postage? )
You are lucky that you have never lost anything in the post. I sent a collection of stuff in a poster bag to Perth -Australia and it never turned up...really disappointing. I resent another and that did arrive. Just bad luck I guess.
