Recent purchases

I had a few days leave from work last week and decided to visit a couple of reasonably local shops to stock up on supplies. Because I normally have to shop on a Saturday when these places are always so busy, I usually just rush in, grab what I need and out again. Well, roll on retirement is all I can say. All the shops I visited during the week are virtually empty and these two were no exception. Great fun. I managed to pick up loads of bits and pieces that I normally wouldn’t have bothered with!!!

Not being a traditional hand knitter I wasn’t really aware that there is such a huge selection of funky yarns available at the moment. A bit pricey I thought, but I couldn’t resist this little lot for a future project I have in mind.

This photograph shows a selection of some of the other stuff I picked up. All the pink bits are something I would normally steer clear of but Libby wants me to make her a journal to put all her special bits in, and its got to be pink of course!
The beads in the bottom left corner are actually decorated wooden ones, a very African feel to them. I had to have the Twinkling H20’s, I’ve heard a lot of people rave about these so wanted to try them for myself.
The best bargain by far were the heart shaped paper clips. There’s about 30 there altogether and all for £1 – and what will I do with them? Well, you never know, they might come in handy one day!

A pretty decent haul I'd say! Love the funky yarns and those heart clips are cool. Are those flowers foam or paper?

I don't knit much either, but it doesn't stop me from buying it! I love the colors and it does make great embellishments.
What is twinkling H20's? Is it beads or glitter in water??
