Then to finish it off she has added one of her famous faces. You can now buy these faces from Joggles printed on paper or fabric. Terri and Sue Bleiweiss both show items made using these faces on their blogs. I have put a link to just one of their pages but if you scroll through both blogs you will see lots of other fantastic examples. These faces also appear as ATC's in the new book ‘1000 Artists Trading Cards’
And as if that wasn’t enough Terri also sent me one of her felted purses as a thank you for some scrim I sent her a while back. These purses are so good, not only to look at and hold but also the finish on them, like all the pieces Terri makes, is just so professional.
Thank you Terri, as you can tell I am well pleased.
Also in the post last week I received a belated birthday card from Carol (Textile Tales). The first one she sent got lost in the post. Unfortunately this seems to happen to me on a regular basis now, either lost or mangled beyond recognition when the postman puts something through the door!
Carols blog shows the process she went through in making this card. It is Scrim attached to Pelmet Vilene, painted with several layers of acrylic then hand and machine stitching on top. The photo does not show the quality of the colour or the texture. It’s a fantastic card. Carol and I are very much alike in our tastes and the way we work so I knew I would love it before I even saw it.
