Birthday Postcard

Now that I know she has received it, this is the birthday postcard I made for SuZ who is also a member of Fiber Art Friends.
Reading through her blog I think she is a bit on the wild side so what better to make her than a 'Wild Woman' brooch.

Soy Silk Rovings were embellished on to a piece of white acrylic felt.
A fancy yarn was then embedded on the top. This was covered in a fine black net and FME in a gold thread was used to hold it in place.
I made the piece big enough so I could get a postcard and a ‘Wild Woman’ brooch out of the same fabric.
Some FME, beads and wire spirals completed the ‘Wild Woman’.

Happy Birthday SuZ - 26 wasn't it???

Love it Lynda and the little red heart just finishes it off.
Nice edges on the postcard too.
